Celebrate

Wow! A whole year has gone by since that fateful night when lives were changed and great lessons were learned. As the Hannan family spends this day celebrating Aunt Maureen's birthday (for those that didn't know, Uncle John's incident happened at her birthday diner) and the miracles they have experienced this past year, lets all life them in prayer!

Life moves on, and so has Uncle John. It is easy for us to forget about that night, but Uncle John has to live with daily reminders of how his life changed that night. I think it would be really cool if we could all take five minutes out of our day and reflect on how our own life has been changed. Feel free to leave a comment including what you are thankful for or what you have learned through this journey.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT MAUREEN and HAPPY ONE YEAR Miracle Man
I think I speak for hundreds of people across the world, when I say thank-you Uncle John and thank-you Hannan family for allowing us to share in this journey. WE LOVE YOU!!!!

  3. Happy Birthday Maureen! I know this day holds new meaning to you and John and your family. The memories of Feb 4th, 2009 are etched in my mind forever! As I look back on the past year, it is clear to me that John was chosen to take us on an amazing journey. As you know better than anyone, that journey has been frightening and filled with much uncertainty. One year later, with John able to enjoy your birthday celebration, so many people are able to reflect on true evidence of the power of prayer. There is comfort in knowing that God has a plan that is bigger than we can imagine. There is peace in trusting!
I am so happy for all of you that you are celebrating your special day with John by your side. I love you all. Kelly #9

  4. To each of you that loved and supported us through this amazing journey. We love you. From the bottom of our hearts we love you. We spent a wonderful day together. I took off work to be with John and reflect on all that God has done in our lives and especially in John's life in the past year. We celebrated the day by gathering to have a "pizza cookoff" at Kerry's suggestion. The highlight of the night was watching John twirl a pizza crust above his head laughing and giggling. When less than a year ago he couldn't even move his left hand. God is good. It was good to laugh together. Thankfully we had no big events this year on my birthday except the best gift of all.... having my husband and best friend by my side. Love you guys and Bridget thanks for the sweet surprise today. Peace to all. Maureen
